Description : | R-Phycoerythrin (RPE) is isolated from a specifically chosen species of red algae because it yields one of the most highly fluorescent of the RPEs. Our RPE is fluorescent, with an extremely high absorptivity, a high quantum efficiency, a large Stokes shift and excitation and emission bands at visible wavelengths. Without altering its spectral characteristics, it is a stable protein easily linked to antibodies and other proteins by conventional protein cross-linking techniques. |
Form : | Supplied in 100 mM sodium phosphate bu er pH 7.0 with 60 % ammonium sulfate, 1mM EDTA, and 1mM sodium azide. |
Molecular Mass : | 240 kDa |
Purity : | A565/A280 ≥ 5.5 A565/A498 ≤ 1.5 A620/A565 ≤ 0.005 |
Notes : | R-PE is stored in ammonium sulfate solution. Therefore, R-PE needs to be re-suspended until no visible precipitates. Firstly. it must be extensively dialyzed prior to use or column to remove any remaining ammonium sulfate. Use PBS or your conjugation buffer (1 ml of R-PE to 1 liter of buffer) to dialyze at least two changes of buffer. |
Stability : | 2 years under proper storage conditions. |
Storage : | Store at 4 centigrade, away from light. Do not freeze. For research or further manufacturing use only. |
Concentration : | ≧15 mg/ml |
