Description : Human alpha Amylase protein purifed from pancreasAmylase is an enzyme that breaks starch down into sugar. It is present in human saliva, where it begins the chemical process of digestion. The pancreas also makes amylase (alpha amylase) to hydrolyse dietary starch into disaccharides and trisaccharides which are converted by other enzymes to glucose to supply the body with energy.
Form : Supplied as a liquid in 100 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM Sodium Chloride, 1 mM Calcium Chloride, 1 mM Benzamidine, 1mM Pefabloc, pH 7.4
Notes : Small volumes of RB5200 native protein may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice.
Storage : Store at 4 deg C.
