• Antigen Description: Neural cell adhesion molecule L1-like protein, also known as Cell adhesion molecule with homology to L1CAM, Close homolog of L1, Chl1-like protein, Chl1 and Call, is a single-pass type I membrane protein which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and L1 / neurofascin / NgCAM family. CHL1 / CALL is expressed in the brain, in the cerebellum and in the spinal cord. It is detected in the retina and the optic nerve. It is also expressed in neurons and glial cells in the central nervous system and by schwann cells in the peripheral nervous system. CHL1 / CALL is an extracellular matrix and cell adhesion protein that plays a role in nervous system development and in synaptic plasticity. Both soluble and membranous forms promote neurite outgrowth of cerebellar and hippocampal neurons and suppress neuronal cell death. CHL1 / CALL plays a role in neuronal positioning of pyramidal neurons and in regulation of both the number of interneurons and the efficacy of GABAergic synapses. CHL1 / CALL may play a role in regulating cell migration in nerve regeneration and cortical development.

• Dilution: This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect CHL1-His. The detection limit for CHL1-His is approximately 0.078 ng/well.
• Preparation: This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, human cell-derived, recombinant Human CHL-1. The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
• Format: 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose
• Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2-8 °C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 to -70°C. Preservative-Free.Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
