• Description: The A498 epithelial cell line was isolated from the kidney carcinoma of a 52-year-old male by D.J. Giard in 1973. The A498 cell line is tumorigenic in nude mice.

• Stability: The lysate is stable for at least one year from date of shipping when stored at -80 centigrade. After incubation with SDS-PAGE sample buffer, SDS-PAGE samples need to be stored in -20 centigrade for long term storage.
• Storage: Store the lysate at -80 centigrade and avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
• Concentration: 1 vial of 100 μg whole cell lysate in RIPA buffer.
