• Description: Fibroblast growth factor 9 (FGF9) belongs to the large FGF family which has at least 23 members. All FGF family members are heparin binding growth factors with a core 120 amino acid (a.a.) FGF domain that allows for a common tertiary structure. FGF-9 targets glial cells, astrocytes cells and other cells that express the FGFR 1c, 2c, 3b, 3c, and 4.
• Form: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.
• Bio-activity: The ED50 determined by a cell proliferation assay using murine Balb/c 3T3 cells is less than 5 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity of >2.0 × 105 IU/mg.
