GMP Native Cattle TF Protein
Cat.No. : | TF-01HG |
Product Overview : | The product quality is controlled from the source, and the bovine plasma is customized from regular farms for formal inspection and quarantine. Transferrin obtained through multi-step chromatographic purification is subjected to 60°C, 10h virus inactivation and then filtered through 0.1μm filter membrane. The product is finally checked including purity, endotoxin, pH, iron content, moisture, and microbial limits to ensure that the product meets cell culture requirements |

Description : | Transferrin is the major iron transfer protein in plasma, providing iron needed for cellular internalization and cellular metabolism. It has been found that all cell growth is dependent on transferrin. Not only does the maintenance of normal cellular metabolism depend on iron in its biologically active form, but iron is also a cofactor for a number of enzymes, such as RNA polymerase and DNA synthase. It is also an important component of hemoglobin. |
Form : | Lyophilized powder |
Endotoxin : | <20 EU/mg |
Purity : | >95.0% by high performance liquid chromatography (SEC-HPLC) and SDS-PAGE. |
Storage : | Transferrin lyophilized powder is usually dissolved into a storage solution at room temperature with PBS or other suitable solvents at a concentration of 0.5-2.0mg/ml, and then filtered through a sterile filter membrane, and the filtrate can be stored at 2-8℃ for 30 days under sterile conditions. |
Sterility : | Sterility |
Instructions : | Transferrin is necessary for the growth of the vast majority of cell lines in serum-free medium, and studies have shown that the saturated iron form of transferrin is the most effective form for promoting cell growth. For hybridomas, adherent cells and suspension cell lines, the concentration of transferrin in the medium should be maintained at 0.5-100 μg/ml during cell culture, and the most appropriate concentration should be selected for each cell line. Transferrin lyophilized powder needs to be kept under refrigeration and redissolved before use. |
