Biotin NHS is an amine reactive biotinylation reagent that binds effectively to a primary amino group (-NH2) to form a stable, irreversible amide bond. When used, it is generally dissolved with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) or dimethylformamide (DMF), which can be further diluted in a water-based buffer without amine.
