• Product Overview: Recombinant Alkali-resistant Protein A is derived from Staphylococcus Aureus and is recombinantly expressed in E.coli. There are multiple IgG binding sites on the surface structure of this Protein A, which can form a stable and high-affinity binding with the Fc region of IgG, thus enabling specific interaction with IgG. Therefore, when this product is coupled to an agarose matrix as an affinity ligand, it can specifically bind to the antibody in the sample while allowing other miscellaneous proteins to pass through, showing extremely high selectivity. In addition to IgG, other subtypes of immunoglobulins, such as human IgM, IgA, IgE, and mouse IgG1, etc., can also be bound. Recombinant Alkali-resistant Protein A has an additional Cysteine at the C-terminus, which can be directionally coupled to the agarose framework at a single site. Moreover, compared with the common Protein A, Recombinant Alkali-resistant Protein A can withstand flushing with 1M NaOH without causing loss of activity.
