Description : | Cxcl5 is a chemokine originallycloned from LPS stimulated mouse fibroblasts. Rat Cxcl5 sharesapproximately 74% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse Cxcl5 and islikely the rat orthologue to mouse Cxcl5. Rat Cxcl5 cDNAencodes a 130 aa residue precursor with a predicted 37 aa residue signalpeptide and a 93 aa residue mature protein. Among human CXC chemokines, rat Cxcl5 is mostclosely related to human GCP2 and ENA78. Rat Cxcl5 alsodiffers from these two human proteins by having an extended carboxyterminus. |
Form : | Lyophilized from a0.2 um filtered solution in Acetonitrile and TFA with BSA as a carrierprotein. |
N-terminalSequence : | Ala38 |
MolecularWeight : | 10.1 kDa |
Activity : | Measuredby its ability to chemoattract human CXCR2 transfected BaF3 mouse proB cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.03 0.15 μg/mL. |
Endotoxin Level : | <1.0EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method. |
Purity : | >97%,by SDSPAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain. |
Reconstitution : | Reconstituteat 100μg/mL insterile PBS containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serum albumin. |
Storage : | Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethaw cycles. 12 months from date ofreceipt, 20 to 70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterileconditions after reconstitution. 3 months, 20 to 70°C under sterileconditions after reconstitution. |
