Description : Erbb4, alsocalled Her4 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 4) in humans, is a type Itransmembrane glycoprotein that is a member of the ErbB family of tyrosinekinase receptors named for a viral oncogene. ErbB family members serve asreceptors for the EGF family of growth factors. Mouse Erbb4 containsa 25 amino acid (aa) signal sequence, a 626 aa extracellular domain (ECD), a24 aa transmembrane region, and a 617 aa cytoplasmic domain.
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.
N-terminalSequence : Gln26 predicted
MolecularWeight : 97.5 kDa (monomer)
Activity : Measured by itsability to inhibit the biological activity of Neuregulin1ß1 on MCF7 humanbreast adenocarcinoma cells. Karey, K.P. et al. (1988) Cancer Research 48:4083.The ED50 for this effect is typically 3 12μg/mL in the presence of 10 ng/mLof rhNRG1 ß1.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0 EU per 1 μgof the protein by the LAL method.
Purity : >85%, by SDSPAGE underreducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : Reconstitute at 500μg/mL in sterile PBS.
Storage : Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethawcycles. 12 months from date of receipt, 20 to70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions afterreconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions afterreconstitution.
