• Description: Lgals3bp, calledCyCAP in the mouse, is a secreted glycoprotein of the scavenger receptorcysteine-rich (SRCR) superfamily. Mouse Lgals3bp is generally considered theparalog of human Lgals3bp, which is also called MAC2 binding protein(MAC2BP), or 90 kDa tumor associated antigen (TAA90K or 90K). However, mouseLgals3bp binds cyclophilin C but not Galectin3 (formerly MAC2), while theopposite is true of human Lgals3bp. The 577 amino acid (aa), 77-95 kDa mouseLgals3bp contains an 18 aa signal sequence and four definitive domains.
