Cat. No. : Fgfr2-542M
Description : Fibroblast growthfactors (FGFs) comprise a family of at least eighteen structurally relatedproteins that are involved in a multitude of physiological and pathologicalcellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, angiogenesis, wound healing and tumorgenesis. The biological activities of the FGFs aremediated by a family of type I transmembrane tyrosine kinases which undergodimerization and autophosphorylation after ligand binding. Four distinctgenes encoding closely related FGF receptors, FGF R1-4, are known.
Source : Spodopterafrugiperda, Sf 21 (baculovirus)-derived
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.
N-terminalSequence : Arg41
Molecular Weight : 56 kDa
Activity : Measuredby its ability to inhibit FGF acidicdependent proliferation of NR6R-3T3 mousefibroblasts. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.5-2 ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE : 74 kDa,reducing conditions
Purity : >90%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : Reconstituteat 100 μg/mL in sterile PBS
Storage : Use a manualdefrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethaw cycles. 12 months from date of receipt,-20 to -70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Protein length : 41-308 a.a.
