Description : EphA5,also known as Ehk1, Bsk, Cek7, Hek7, and Rek7, is a member of the Ephreceptor tyrosine kinase family which binds members of the Ephrin ligandfamily. The A and B class Eph proteins have a common structural organization.Activation of kinase activity occurs after membranebound or clustered ligandrecognition and binding. Reverse signaling is propagated through the Ephrinligand. The mouse EphA5 cDNA encodes an 877 amino acid (aa) precursor thatincludes a 26 aa signal sequence, a 386 aa extracellular domain (ECD), a 21aa transmembrane segment, and a 444 aa cytoplasmic domain. The ECD containsan Nterminal globular domain, a cysteinerich domain, and two fibronectin typeIII domains.
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 um filtered solution in Acetonitrile and TFA with BSA as a carrierprotein.
N-terminalSequence : Ser58
MolecularWeight : 40.4 kDa
Activity : Measuredby its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized rmEpha5 at 2μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind rmEphrinA2/Fc Chimera with a linear range of0.16 10 ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity : >95%,by SDSPAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : Reconstitute at 100μg/mLin sterile PBS.
Storage : Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethaw cycles. 12 months from date of receipt, 20 to 70°C as supplied. 1month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months, 20 to70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
