• Bio-activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Spike Protein S1 (aa 1-725) at 2 μg/ml (100 μl/well) can bind biotinylated Fc-DPP4. The EC50 of biotinylated Fc-DPP4 is 15-60 ng/ml.
• Molecular Mass: The recombinant spike protein S1 Subunit MERS-CoV comprises 719 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 79.9 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, it migrates as an approximately 94 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

• Reconstitution: It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.2 ug/ul. Centrifuge the vial at 4°C before opening to recover the entire contents.
