• Description: There are two main classes of DUB; cysteine proteases and metalloproteases. Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 45 (Ubiquitin Specific Protease 45; USP45) is a member of the cysteine protease enzyme family and cloning of the human gene was first described by Quesada et al. (2004). USP45 is an 819 amino acid protein that is broadly expressed; the highest levels can be found in the spleen, ovary and skeletal muscle.
