Description : SET and MYND domain-containing protein 5 (Smyd5) is a member of the Smyd family of histone methyltransferases. Smyd5 has been reported to mediate methylation of H4K20 and may methylate non-histone substrates as well.
Source : Sf9 insect cells
Species : Human
Tag : FLAG
Form : 20 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl and 20% glycerol.
Bio-activity : Specifically mediates the methylation of H4K20 and may methylate non-histone substrates.
Applications : Enzyme kinetics, inhibitor screening, and selectivity profiling.
Storage : Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage.
Concentration : 0.3 mg/ml
