Description : | SET and MYND domain-containing protein 5 (Smyd5) is a member of the Smyd family of histone methyltransferases. Smyd5 has been reported to mediate methylation of H4K20 and may methylate non-histone substrates as well. |
Source : | Sf9 insect cells |
Species : | Human |
Tag : | FLAG |
Form : | 20 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl and 20% glycerol. |
Bio-activity : | Specifically mediates the methylation of H4K20 and may methylate non-histone substrates. |
Applications : | Enzyme kinetics, inhibitor screening, and selectivity profiling. |
Storage : | Recombinant proteins in solution are temperature sensitive and must be stored at -80°C to prevent degradation. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles and keep on ice when not in storage. |
Concentration : | 0.3 mg/ml |
