Description : NLN, also known asOligopeptidase M, soluble angiotensin II-binding protein and endopeptidase EC3.4.24.16, is a homologue of Thimet Ologopeptidase, a zinc peptidase of theM3 family that also includes mitochondrial intermediate peptidase. NLNexpresses in two forms with the difference of an N-terminal transit peptidethat targets the localization to mitochondria.
Form : Supplied as a 0.2 μmfiltered solution in Tris, NaCl and Glycerol.
N-terminalSequence : Met
Molecular Weight : 77 kDa
Activity : Measuredby its ability to cleave a fluorogenic peptide substrate, (7-methoxycoumarin-4-yl)acetyl-Pro-Leu-Gly-Pro-D-Lys (2, 4-dinitrophenyl)-OH or Mca-PLGPK (Dnp)-OH.The specific activity is > 70 pmoles/min/μg, as measured under thedescribed conditions.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE : 73 kDa,reducing conditions.
Purity : >95%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Storage : Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 6 months fromdate of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied. 3 months, -20 to -70°C understerile conditions after opening.
