Description : MAO B is distributed at high levels in the liver, brain and platelets. Benzylamine and phenylethylamine are considered selective substrate for MAO B. Deprenyl has been shown to be a potent and selective inhibitor and is currently used in the treatment of Parkinson?s disease.
Form : 100 mM potassium phosphate (pH 7.4) for MAO assays. When evaluating new buffers it may be advisable to test new compositions relative to the buffer used for the QC assay.
