Description : | FGF3 belongs to the large FGF family which has at least 23members. All FGF family members are heparin-binding growth factors with acore 120 amino acid (aa) FGF domain that allows for a common tertiarystructure. FGFs are expressed during embryonic development and in restrictedadult tissues. They act on cells of mesodermal and neuroectodermal origin toregulate diverse physiologic functions including angiogenesis, cell growth, pattern formation, embryonic development, metabolic regulation, cellmigration, neurotrophic effects and tissue repair. Signaling receptors forFGFs are type I transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases belonging to the Igsuperfamily. |
Form : | Lyophilizedfrom a 0.2 um filtered solution in MOPS, Na2SO4 and EDTA with BSA as acarrier protein. |
N-terminalSequence : | Met |
MolecularWeight : | 21.1 kDa |
Activity : | Measuredin a cell proliferation assay using NR6R3T3 mouse fibroblasts. The ED50 forthis effect is typically 0.02 0.1 μg/mL in the presence of 1 μg/mL of heparin. |
Endotoxin Level : | <1.0EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method. |
Purity : | >97%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain. |
Reconstitution : | Reconstituteat 10μg/mL in sterile PBS containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serumalbumin. |
Storage : | Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethaw cycles. 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied.1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. |
