Description : | Porcine liver Esterase has been used as a substitute for Leukocyte Esterase. White blood cells in the urine usually indicate a urinary tract infection. The leukocyte esterase (LE) test detects esterase, an enzyme released by white blood cells. Leukocyte esterase is a urine test for the presence of white blood cells and other abnormalities associated with infection. Porcine liver esterase is used to catalyze the hydrolysis of pentaacetyl catechin and epicatechin for use in pharmaceutical and industrial applications and is commonly used for kinetic resolutions and asymmetric synthesis in organic chemistry. |
