Description : This gene encodes a trypsinogen, which is a member of the trypsin family of serine proteases. This enzyme is secreted by the pancreas and cleaved to its active form in the small intestine. It is active on peptide linkages involving the carboxyl group of lysine or arginine. Mutations in this gene are associated with hereditary pancreatitis. This gene and several other trypsinogen genes are localized to the T cell receptor beta locus on chromosome 7.
Form : Lyophilised:Reconstitute in 56.5μl 2mM HCl. Use product immediately after bringing to neutral pH to avoid auto-degradation.After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20oC.Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Bio-activity : Activity: >2.5units per mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that hydrolyzes one umole of N-Benzyl-L-arginine-pNA per minute at 25oC in 200mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.8, 20mM CaCl2.
Purity : >95% by SDS-PAGE
Storage : Store at -20°C . Stable for 12 months at -20°C
