• Description: Tissue factor is a cell-surface protein of endothelial cells and monocytes involved in coagulation and inflammation. It is the primary cellular initiator of coagulation cascade, and functions as receptor and cofactor for coagulation Factor VII and VIIa.From the rabbit gene using a T-7 cell expression system; purified predominantly to a 45 kD protein, comprising the extracellular and transmembrane domains of the native molecule, plus an amino terminal leader peptide sequence required for processing and purification.
• Presentation: Screw capped clear glass vials of 100 µg of protein lyophilized from a buffer of 0.02M TRIS-HCl, 0.01M CHAPS, 0.5M NaCl, 0.2M imidazole, pH 7.9.
• Reconstitution: Add 400 µL of filtered deionized water.
• Purity: Greater than 90% per SDS-PAGE, appearing as single band, 45 kD.
• Coagulation Properties: Upon lipidation, the following Prothrombin Time was recorded (manual method with fibrometer): Normal Human Plasma 9.9 seconds; Abnormal Human Plasma 20.1 seconds.
• Immunological Properties: Significantly recognized by sheep anti-rabbit tissue factor (native). Recognized by mouse monoclonals against (native) rabbit tissue factor. Significantly recognized by goat anti-human tissue factor; not recognized by various, different mouse monoclonals against human tissue factor.
• Storage/Stability: Intact vial is stable at +2° - +8°C until the date on the vial. Reconstituted vial is stable for one year at +2° - +8°C.
