Recombinant Mycoplasma pneumoniae P30 Antigen, His&TrxA tagged

Cat.No. : P30-084M
Product Overview : This recombinant protein contains the main part of the P30 adhesin protein, which, together with P1, acts as a potent immunogen that results in high titers of specific antibodies in the serum of patients with acute M. pneumoniae infections. It has been expressed as a recombinant antigen fused to a his-tag in its N-terminus.

Species : Mycoplasma pneumoniae
Source : E.coli
Tag : His&TRxA
Description : P30 is a membrane-bound protein that orients with the N terminus in the cytoplasm and the C terminus exposed on the cell surface, thus can be exploited for the immunodetection of M. pneumoniae-infected human sera. It has been described in the bibliography that the adhesion protein P30 is together with P1, a potent immunogen that results in high titers of specific antibodies in the serum of patients with acute M. pneumoniae infection. The C-terminal region of P30 is dominated by proline-rich repeating motifs similar to those found near the C terminus of P1. Both the area near the C-terminus of P1 and P30 seem crucial for adhesion to various cell types.
Tag : N-His&TrxA
Molecular Mass : Determined by SDS-PAGE, the protein bands are two and between molecular markers of 35-45 kDa, while relative molecular mass calculated from amino acid sequence is 36,416.62 Da.
Purity : > 95% by observation on SDS-PAGE electrophoresis
Applications : WB, DB, IE, DE, CLIA, LF
Storage : Upon arrival, it should be aliquoted to avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles and stored at -20 to -80 centigrade. In order to defrost the protein, maintain the aliquot at 25 centigrade without shaking to avoid aggregation.
Storage Buffer : 20 mM phosphate buffer pH 6, 0.15 M NaCl and 0.1% polyoxyethylene (10) tridecyl ether
Concentration : 2.13 mg/mL
Shipping : Protein is shipped with dry ice.
