Description : Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGF R2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is a member of a receptor tyrosine kinase family whose activation plays an essential role in a large number of biological processes such as embryonic development, wound healing, cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation.
Molecular Weight : The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Mouse VEGF R2 is Mr 110 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 166-191 kDa.
State Of Matter : Lyophilized.
Purity : >90% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain.
Formulation : This recombinant protein was 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 – 7.3 with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives.
Endotoxin : <1.0 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method.
Biological Activity : The biological activity of Mouse VEGFR2 was determined by its ability to inhibit the VEGF-dependent proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is typically 10 - 30 ng/ml in the presence of 5 ng/ml of rmVEGF.
Storage And Stability : This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20°Cto -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°Cto 8°Cfor one month or at -20°Cto -70°Cin a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
