Description : | CD160 antigen, also known as Natural killer cell receptor BY55 and CD160, is a cell membrane protein which contains one Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. CD160 is a GPI-anchored lymph centigradeyte surface receptor in which expression is mostly restricted to the highly cytotoxic CD56(dim)CD16(+) peripheral blood NK subset. CD160 is a receptor showing broad specificity for both classical and non-classical MHC class I molecules. CD160 is expressed in spleen, peripheral blood, and small intestine. Expression of CD160 is restricted to functional NK and T cytotoxic lymph centigradeytes. CD160 acts as a co-activator receptor for CD3-induced proliferation of CD4+ CD160+ T cells isolated from inflammatory skin lesions. Unique CD4+ CD160+ lymph centigradeyte subset may play a role in the pathogenesis of skin inflammation. Activated NK lymph centigradeytes release a soluble form of CD160 that functionally impairs the MHC-I-specific cytotoxic CD8(+) T lymph centigradeyte responsiveness. |
Form : | Lyophilized |
Molecular Mass : | 16.3 kDa |
N-terminal Sequence Analysis : | Gly 25 |
Endotoxin : | < 1.0 EU/ μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method. |
Purity : | (70+22.5) % as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Characteristic : | Disulfide-linked homodimer Labeled with Alexa Fluor 555 via amines With an excitation and emission maximum of 555/565 nm, Alexa Fluor 555 can be efficiently excited using a 543 nm He-Ne laser line and detected under standard TRITC/Cy3 filters. |
Storage : | Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70 centigrade. Store it under sterile conditions at -20 to -80 centigrade. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Storage Buffer : | Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. Normally 5%-8% trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization. |
Reconstitution : | It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.2 μg/μL. Centrifuge the vial at 4 centigrade before opening to recover the entire contents. |
