Description : Vascularendothelial growth factor (VEGFA) is a mitogen that specifically acts onendo- thelial cells and has various effects, including mediating increasedvascular permeability and inducing angiogenesis , cell growth, migration, andinhibition of apoptosis. It is a pivotal stimulator of angiogenesis becauseits binding to VEGF receptors has been shown to promote endothelial cellmigration and proliferation, two key features required for the development ofnew blood vessels. In addition, VEGF-A increases vascular permeability, whichmay also contribute to angiogenesis and tumor growth. Recognition of thecentral role of VEGF-A in angiogenesis has led to the hypothesis that itsinhibition may represent a novel and effective approach to the treatment ofcancer and other conditions characterized by pathologic angiogenesis.
ProteinConstruction : Recombinanthuman VEGFA is combined the Sequence of VEFGA with 6His.
Source : ChineseHamster Ovary (CHO cell)
Purity : >95%as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
