Description : | UbcH10 is an essential mediator of mitotic destruction events and cell cycle progression. It catalyzes the destruction of cyclins A and B in conjunction with the anaphase-promoting complex, and therefore, plays an important role in the control of the cell exit from mitosis This activity is essential at then end of mitosis for the inactivation of their partner kinase Cdc2 and exit from mitosis into G1 of the next cell cycle. In addition, UbcH10 bears homology to yeast PAS2, a gene that is essential for biogenesis of peroxisomes. UbcH10 is useful for in vitro ubiquitinylation reactions. |
Physical Appearance : | Sterile Filtered white lyophilized powder. |
Purity : | Greater than 95.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE. |
Formulation : | Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution in 1XPBS and 1 mM DTT, pH 7.5. |
Solubility : | It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Ubc10 in sterile water not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. |
Stability : | Lyophilized Ubc10 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Ubc10 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
