• Description: The ninjurin protein is upregulated after nerve injury both in dorsal root ganglion neurons and in Schwann cells. It demonstrates properties of a homophilic adhesion molecule and promotes neurite outgrowth from primary cultured dorsal root ganglion neurons.
• Molecular Mass: The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 34.6 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of NINJ1-hFc is approximately 35-55 kDa due to glycosylation.
• Purity: The purity of the protein is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining.
• Storage: Store at -20 to -80 centigrade for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -80 centigrade (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing).
