Description : | Angiopoietin 4, also known as ANG-4 or ANGPT4, is a protein belonging to the angiopoietin family and is highly expressed in the lung with much lower levels found in other tissues. Angiopoietin 4 / ANG-4 / ANGPT4 is a protein with important roles in vascular development and angiogenesis. All angiopoietins bind with similar affinity to an endothelial cell-specific tyrosine-protein kinase receptor. The mechanism by which they contribute to angiogenesis is thought to involve regulation of endothelial cell interactions with supporting perivascular cells. The protein encoded by this gene functions as an agonist and is an angiopoietin. Angiopoietin 4 secreted ligand for the vascular endothelial restricted receptor tyrosine kinase TEK,including phosphorylation of TEK,promoting angiogenic remodeling as well as vessel maturation and stabilization, predominantly expressed in lung. |
Predicted N Terminal : | His |
Form : | Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH7.4. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. |
Molecular Mass : | The recombinant human ANGPT4 comprises 242 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 27.6 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 38 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation. |
Endotoxin : | 1.0 eu/μg of the protein as determined by the lal |
Purity : | > 80 % as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Stability : | Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70℃ |
Storage : | Store it under sterile conditions at -70℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
