• Description: LIFR also known as CD118 (Cluster of Differentiation 118), is a subunit of a receptor for leukemia inhibitory factor. LIFR is necessary for the proper development of motor neurons in brainstem nuclei and the spinal cord. LIFR is composed of a heterodimer LIFR alpha and GP130. LIFR alpha is a glycosylated variant of LIFR and is identical with M1 differentiation inducing activity.
• Molecular Weight: The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Human LIF sRα is Mr 89 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 100-110 kDa.
