Species : Human
Source : HEK293
Tag : His&Twin Strep
Protein Length : 16-917 a.a.
Description : Hexokinase-1 (HK1) is also known as Brain form hexokinase, Hexokinase type I (HK I). Hexokinase-1 is a monomer which can interact with RABL2/RABL2A. HK1 binds preferentially to GTP-bound RABL2 By similarity.HK1 interacts with VDAC1 and the HK1-VDAC1 complex interacts with ATF2. Hexokinases phosphorylate glucose to produce glucose-6-phosphate, thus committing glucose to the glycolytic pathway.
Predicted N Terminal : Asp 16
Form : Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 and some stabilizers. Normally Mannitol or Trehalose are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Molecular Mass : rh HK1 /Hexokinase-1,Twin Strep is fused with polyhistidine tagged Twin Strep Tag at the C-terminus, and has a calculated MW of 105 kDa. The predicted N-terminus is Asp 16. DTT-reduced Protein migrates as 95-115 kDa in SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin : Less than 1.0 EU per μg of the rh HK1 /Hexokinase-1,Twin Strep by the LAL method.
Purity : >85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Applications : Recombinant Proteins
Storage : Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. No activity loss was observed after storage at:In lyophilized state for 1 year (4oC); After reconstitution under sterile conditions for 3 months (-70oC).
