Cat. No. : | CRK-2854H |
Description : | CRK is a member of signaling adapter protein family that binds to several tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins. This protein is involved in many cellular processes including apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation. It has a modular domain architecture consisting of an SH2 followed by two SH3 domains (src-homology domains). The N-terminal SH2 domain of this protein functions as a positive regulator of transformation whereas the C-terminal SH3 domain functions as a negative regulator of transformation. |

Q&As (6)
Ask a questionThe role of CRK in disease can be assessed through in-depth analysis of the patient's genomic data, combined with the results of studies in cell models and animal models. This can help doctors better understand the patient's condition and develop more effective treatment plans.
The expression level of CRK can be detected by immunohistochemistry, western blotting, and real-time PCR. These techniques can detect protein or mRNA levels of CRK in tissues or cells to assess changes in its expression in disease.
Certain biomolecules can be used as molecular markers for CRK, such as mRNA or protein of CRK detected in biological samples such as blood and urine. These markers can be used for early diagnosis of disease, prognostic judgment, or monitoring of treatment efficacy.
Detection methods for CRK include immunohistochemistry, western blotting, real-time PCR, etc. These methods can detect the expression level of CRK in tissues or cells to assess its status in disease.
Therapeutic strategies for CRK include inhibition of its activity, regulation of its expression, and gene therapy. For example, the development of small molecule inhibitors or antibody drugs against CRK to inhibit its aberrant activity in disease, or the regulation of CRK expression through gene knockout or overexpression techniques.
As a signal transduction molecule, CRK plays multiple roles within the cell. It can phosphorylate a variety of substrates, affecting their activity or localization. In addition, CRK is also involved in processes such as cytoskeletal reorganization and cell motility.
