Description : | Macrophagecolony-stimulating factor, or CSF1, is a secreted cytokine which influenceshematopoietic stem cells to differentiate into macrophages or other relatedcell types. Eukaryotic cells also produce CSF1 in order to combat intercellularviral infection. (See colony-stimulating factor.) CSF1 binds to the Colonystimulating factor 1 receptor. It may also be involved in development of theplacenta. |
