Recombinant EBV BALF2 Antigen, His tagged

Cat.No. : BALF2-004E
Product Overview : The early antigen p138 has been prepared as a recombinant antigen fused to a his-tag. It is produced from the complete ORF of the BALF2 gene which codifies the major DNA binding protein of EBV.

Description : D-EA p138 is consideres as diffused (EA-D) early antigen. Regarding the EA-D, it is located in nucleus and cytoplasm and it has been described the highly presence of the diffuse early antigen of EBV in lymphomas and lymphoproliferative disorders. The D-EA p138 is an antigen codified by the gene BALF2 which is the major DNA binding protein of EBV. At the time of infection with Epstein-Barr virus, antibodies to EA are found and usually last for four to six months only. The absence of antibody to EA when other EBV antibodies are present strongly suggests that first time infection with EBV occurred in the past.
Tag : N-His
Molecular Mass : Determined by SDS-PAGE, the protein band is between molecular markers of 66.2-116 kDa, while relative molecular mass calculated from amino acid sequence is 129,700.0 Da.
Purity : > 95% by observation on SDS-PAGE electrophoresis
Applications : WB, DB, IE, DE
Storage : Upon arrival, it should be aliquoted to avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles and stored at -20 to -80 centigrade. In order to defrost the protein, maintain the aliquot at 25 centigrade without shaking to avoid aggregation.
Storage Buffer : 20 mM phosphate buffer pH 8, 0.15 M NaCl, 0.1% polyoxyethylene (10) tridecyl ether and 6 M urea
Concentration : 1.11 mg/mL
Shipping : Protein is shipped with dry ice.
