Phytic acid content Assay Kit
Cat.No. : | KITZ-070 |
Product Overview : | Phytic acid (also known as inositol hexaphosphate) is the main storage form of phosphorus in various plant tissues (especially rice bran and seeds). Its structure is an inositol derivative generated by phosphate esterification of the six hydroxyl groups of inositol, which plays an important role in the normal growth of seeds. Phytic acid has a strong chelating effect. Research in recent years has found that phytic acid has a certain effect on preservation and anti-oxidation as an antioxidant. Phytic acid can fade the purple-red color developer of ferric chloride-sulfosalicylic acid, and the phytic acid content is proportional to the degree of fading. The phytic acid content in the sample is obtained by detecting the decrease in absorbance at 500 nm. |
