Octopine dehydrogenase (ODH) activity assay kit
Cat.No. : | KITZ-069 |
Product Overview : | There are four main anaerobic metabolic pathways in marine invertebrates, among which the glucose-opine pathway plays an important role in the early stage of anaerobic metabolism. The unique Opine dehydrogenase (OpDHs) in invertebrates ensures the smooth progress of this process. Octopine dehydrogenase (ODH; EC 1.5.1.11) is one of the Opine dehydrogenase (OpDHs) series of enzymes. Octopine dehydrogenase (ODH) catalyzes the reaction of pyruvate and the specific substrate arginine to generate the corresponding imino acids, and oxidizes NADH at the same time. The activity of ODH enzyme can be obtained by detecting the decreasing rate of NADH at the characteristic absorption wavelength of 340nm. |
