Product Overview : This product is 1mg lyophilizate of sodium keratan sulfate purified from porcine nasal cartilage. CSR-NaKS2(PNC)1 contains both the disaccharide units with monosulfate structure (6-O-sulfation of GIcNAc) and disulfate structure (6-O-sulfation of GIcNAc and 6-O-sulfation of Gal). The average molecular weight is about 3kDa. This product is not suitable for the standard of cellulose acetate electrophoresis because smear band appears.

KS is abundant in cartilage and cornea, and exists as unbranched polysaccharide chains covalently linked to the protein core of proteoglycans.
