Description : Immunoglobulin A (IgA, also referred to as sIgA) is an antibody that plays a critical role in mucosal immunity. More IgA is produced in mucosal linings than all other types of antibody combined; between three and five grams are secreted into the intestinal lumen each day. This accumulates up to 15% of the total immunoglobulin produced in the entire body.
Form : Solution in 0.01 M Phosphate Buffer saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative.
Purity : ≥95% (HPLC)
Notes : In order to obtain the best results using various techniques and preparations, we recommend determining the optimal working dilutions by titration.
Storage : Store at -20 °C. For continuous use, store at 2-8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, the solution may be frozen in working aliquots at -20 °C. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. If slight turbidity °Ccurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use.
