Description : Human Serum Albumin (HSA) is the most abundant protein contained in plasma. Its single polypeptide chain has 585 amino acid residues and molecular weight of about 6.7 kDa. It contributes to the maintenance of osmotic pressure in blood and binds to nutrients and metabolites to thereby transport these substances. HSA has been developed into drugs and biochemical reagents. Our high purity HSA product is made from human urine based on our proprietary protein online-absorption and column chromatography technology. It has significant advantages: (1) abundant source of urine, (2) no contamination of heterologous protein, (3) a single band on SDS-PAGE, (4) no multimer on HPLC, and (5) it meets the requirements of Chinese Pharmacopoeia Standard (2010 version).
Form : It is a clear, slightly viscous liquid, slightly yellow in color.
Purity : Greater than 98%, a single band on SDS-PAGE and no contamination of multimer on HPLC.
Applications : It is used as supplement media of cell culture, and excipient in the formulation of therapeutic proteins.
Storage : Store and ship at 2-8 centigrade or at room temperature, protected from light.
