Description : | Affinity purified Lotus tetragonolobus lectin (LTL) is isolated from lotus seeds and is composed of 240 amino acid residues. LTL is a glycoprotein consists of four subunits. LTL is a fucose-binding anti-H(O) lectin. Transitional cell carcinoma of the human urinary bladder tends to metastasize when it strongly expresses binding sites for LTL. Lotus tetragonolobus Lectin (LTL) is labeled with tetramethylrhodamine isothiocyanate (TRITC) and has an appropriate number of fluorochromes bound to provide the optimum staining characteristics for this lectin. TRITC is a bright orange or red-fluorescent dye with excitation ideally suited to the 532-nm laser line. TRITC labeled LTL can be used for cellular imaging applications. |
