Description : | Affinity purified Lotus tetragonolobus lectin (LTL) is isolated from lotus seeds and is composed of 240 amino acid residues. LTL is a glycoprotein consists of four subunits. LTL is a fucose-binding anti-H(O) lectin. Transitional cell carcinoma of the human urinary bladder tends to metastasize when it strongly expresses binding sites for LTL. Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is a 40 kDa protein that catalyzes the oxidation of substrates by hydrogen peroxide, resulting in a colored or fluorescent product or release of light as a byproduct of the reaction. It is most commonly used for blotting, immunoassays and immunohistochemistry methods. Lotus tetragonolobus Lectin (LTL) is conjugated to HRP at an appropriate ratio to provide optimal staining characteristics. |
