Description : Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a peptide hormoneproduced in pregnancy, that is made by the embryosoon after conceptionand later by the syncytiotrophoblast(part of the placenta). Its role is to prevent the disintegration of the corpus luteumof the ovaryand thereby maintain progesteroneproduction that is critical for a pregnancyin humans. hCG may have additional functions, for instance it is thought that it affects the immune tolerance of the pregnancy. Early pregnancy testinggenerally is based on the detection or measurement of hCG.

Format : Purified, Lyophilized. Reconstitute to 1mg/ml in 0.15M Potassium Phosphate. Prior to reconstitution rap the bottom of the vial against a bench top to ensure all product is at the bottom of the vial. Allow the reconstitution buffer to equilibrate to room temperature before use. Allow the vial to sit without agitation for at least 5 minutes followed by vortexing at slow speed or gentle swirling.
Purification : ≥90% pure (SDS-PAGE).
Concentration : 1mg/ml(DRG ELISA)
Buffer : Lyophilized from 50mM Ammonium bicarbonate
Applications : Specific methodologies have not been tested using this product.
Storage : Store lyophilized product at -20℃. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20℃. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Warnings : All human source materials have tested negative for HIV 1, HIV 2, HCV, Hepatitis A antibodies and HBsAg and HIV Antigen. No test guarantees a product to be non-infectious. Therefore, all material derived from human fluids or tissues should be considered as potentially infectious.
