GABA Aminotransferase (GABA-T) activity assay kit
Cat.No. : | KITZ-083 |
Product Overview : | γ-aminobutyric acid transaminase (GABA-T, EC 2.6.1.96) is one of the key enzymes in the GABA shunt pathway, catalyzing the degradation and conversion of GABA. This kit uses γ-aminobutyric acid transaminase (GABA-T) to catalyze the reaction between pyruvate and GABA, producing succinic semialdehyde and alanine. By measuring the decrease in GABA, the enzyme activity of GABA-T can be determined. Reaction equation: 4-aminobutanoate + pyruvate = succinate semialdehyde + L-alanine |
