Description : | Cresyl Violet acetate is used in Nissl staining of brain paraffin and spinal cord section. It is also certified for use to stain mast cell and cartilage granules. It has allowed the visualization of the arterial blood supply to the central hemispheres when dissolved in isotonic saline and DMSO. It is also useful to measure pyruvate dehydrogenase complex activity when its acetylation is coupled with acetyl-CoA production. |
