Cinnamate-4-Hydroxylase activity assay kit

Cat.No. : KITZ-084
Product Overview : Cinnamate-4-hydroxylase (C4H, EC 1.14.13.11) is a key enzyme in the phenylpropanoid metabolic pathway. It can effectively regulate the synthesis of flavonoid secondary metabolites, and its activity can serve as a physiological indicator of plant resistance. This product uses cinnamic acid as the substrate. Under optimal conditions for the enzymatic reaction, cinnamate-4-hydroxylase catalyzes the substrate to produce 4-hydroxy-trans-cinnamic acid. The product, 4-hydroxy-trans-cinnamic acid, has a maximum absorption peak at 340 nm. By measuring the change in absorbance at 340 nm, the activity of the enzyme can be calculated.
