• Characteristics: Butyl agarose FF is based on a 90 μm matrix. It is intended for initial and intermediate step purifications requiring amatrix with low to medium hydrophobicity. Butyl agarose FF often works efficiently with rather low salt concentrations.The mechanism of adsorption and desorption onto the butyl ligand is different from that onto the phenyl ligand, giving a differentselectivity.

The compatibility with other solvents have been verified by conducting stability test for some of the media with 1 M acetic acid, 3 M (NH4) SO4 and 1 M HCl.
