Description : Interleukin-17 (IL-17 or IL-17A) is the founding member of a group of cytokines called the IL-17 family. Interleukin 17 is a cytokine that acts as a potent mediator in delayed ?C type reactions by increasing chemokine production in various tissues to recruit monocytes and neutrophils to the site of inflammation, similar to Interferon gamma. IL- 17 is produced by T helper cells and is induced by IL ?C 23 which results in destructive tissue damage in delayed ?C type reactions.

Bio-activity : IL-17F is fully bioactive when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant induction of IL-6 in NHDF is 1.94 ng/ml.
Physical Appearance : Sterile Filtered white lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Solubility : It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.
Purity Greater than 98% as determined by : Analysis by RP-HPLC. Reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE.
Protein Content determined by : UV spectroscopy at 280 nm. Analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Endotoxin Level : Endotoxin level is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.
