Description : Gp6 is a63 kDa platelet/megakaryocyte-specific type I transmembrane glycoprotein ofthe immunoglobulin superfamily that is an important collagen receptor andinitiator of platelet activation, aggregation and thrombus generation. Gp6 isalso a secondary receptor required for platelet spreading on laminin. Mouse Gp6contains a 21 amino acid (aa) signal sequence, a 244 aa extracellular domain (ECD)that has two C-type Ig-like domains followed by a mucin-like, presumablyO-glycosylated Ser-Thr-rich region, a 21 aa transmembrane (TM) domain and a27 aa cytoplasmic tail. Mouse Gp6 ECD shares 70%, 85%, 69% and 66% aaidentity with human, rat, equine and canine Gp6 ECD, respectively.
Source : Mammalian cells
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 um filtered solution in PBS.
N-terminalSequence : Gly24
MolecularWeight : 27.8 kDa (monomer)
Activity : Measuredby its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When cross-linked with 10 μg/mLof Mouse polyHistidine Monoclonal Antibody. Recombinant Mouse Gp6 binds toCollagen I (coated at 10 μg/mL, 100 μL/well) with an apparent KD < 90 nM.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE : 45-60kDa, reducing conditions.
Purity : >95%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : Reconstituteat 400μg/mL in PBS.
Storage : Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethawcycles. 12months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 °C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 °Cunder sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70 °C understerile conditions after reconstitution.
Protein length : 1-265 a.a.
