Description : | Receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL), also known as tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 11 (TNFSF11), TNF-related activation-induced cytokine (TRANCE), osteoprotegerin ligand (OPGL), and osteoclast differentiation factor (ODF), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TNFSF11 gene. RANKL is important in bone metabolism. |

Bio-activity : | RANK ligand is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The activity is determined by its ability to induce osteoclast formation in RAW264.7 cells using a conc. of 5.0-10.0 ng/ml and by dose dependant stimulation of IL-8 production in human PBMC. |

Solubility : | Centrifuge vial before opening. When reconstituting the product, gently pipet and wash down the sides of the vial to ensure full recovery of the protein into solution. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mgμs/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions. |
