Tag : Non
Protein Length : 250-370 a.a.
Description : The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor family. The four members of this family are mitogenic factors for cells of mesenchymal origin and are characterized by a core motif of eight cysteines, seven of which are found in this factor. This gene product only forms homodimers and, therefore, does not dimerize with the other three family members. It differs from alpha and beta members of this family in having an unusual N-terminal domain, the CUB domain. Two splice variants have been identified for this gene.
Molecular Mass : 14 kDa (monomer)
Predicted N terminal : Ser250
Structure : Disulfide-linked homodimer
Formulation : Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution in Acetonitrile and TFA.
Purity : >97%, by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Activity : Measured in a cell proliferation assay using NR6R‑3T3 mouse fibroblast cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 15 - 75 ng/mL in a fluorometric assay using the redox sensitive dye, Resazurin and 2 - 5 ng/mL when measured by 3H-thymidine incorporation.
EndotoxinLevel : <1.0 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Reconstitution : Reconstitute at 100 µg/mL in sterile 4 mM HCl.
Storage : 12 months from date of receipt, 20 to 70 °C as supplied. Avoid repeated freezethaw cycles.
OfficialSymbol : PDGFD
